Let's build a story about a challenge you have faced in your city that you think should change.

Now we know the challenge, we can tell the story. To do this we will come up with imaginary details that reflect what is happening in real life. 

Let's look at where the challenge is happening and then make up an imaginary place where your story can take place.

In your story, we will make an imaginary place to represent the real setting.

For example, if the setting in real life is a busy town with lots of cars, we can make a story set in a town on the plateau of a mountain, where townsfolk live in small wooden huts and where many dragons often come to rest on the soft grass flat...

Now we have a setting for our story, let's think about what is causing the challenge or preventing it from being solved. 

In your story, we can make the cause of the challenge into a villainous character that is doing something that affects your imaginary place

For example, if car fumes caused by too much traffic, is the challenge in real life, we can make a story where lots of lazy dragons come to sleep in the town. While they sleep, they snore and fill the air with smoke that clouds the sky above the town and stops the flowers from growing...

Let's think of a way that we could solve the challenge in real life. This might be something that is already happening or an idea that you have, to solve the challenge. 

In your story, we can make the solution to the challenge into a heroic character, that solves the situation in your imaginary place.

For example, if the solution to the traffic problems in real life is to build park-and-ride car parks out of town, we can make a story where the mayor of the town builds a motel for dragons on the other side of the mountain...

Every story, whether in real life or imaginary, needs an ending. Let's think about what would happen if the solution you came up with was implemented in real life.

In your story, let's think of an ending that represents the ending you just wrote in real life. If the hero solves the situation in your imaginary place, what could happen after that?

For example, if the dragons go to sleep in the motel instead of in the town, the air in the town might become clear again and the flowers could start to grow again, making the townsfolk healthier, and happier at the sight of the flowers...
